good evening to all

for a couple of days now i have a strange problem with my old genius ps2 old keyboard

the keyboard's lights light ok on boot but when entering desktop does not working

i suspected something with corrupted windows xp sp3 drivers so i fully formatted my partition c but the problem exist

i have tried another ps2 brand new (unbranded) keyboard but i still have the same problem

i have tried to delete the keyboard through system devices and it was ok on first boot but when i restart the pc for a second time the keyboard is not working

i do not know if this problem have to do with any issues of a corrupted bios or the windows xp drivers

the motherboard is two years old, an asus p8h61m-le with a g530 cpu

i do not think that my motherboard ps2 port is defective

i thanking you very much ind adance

If you fully formatted ,re-installed XP, and still have the problem, it may be hardware related. Can you get a USB keyboard and see if that works?

Thanks for the update. Yes, I would start a new thread in the Virus Removal Forum.
