Hello, I hope someone can help.

Everytime I start IE I first see "win.eto.com/hp.htm?id=543" flash on the screen and next "T.Swapx.cc/h.php?aid=543" I can't get away from it. I also noticed porno sites are being added to my favorites.

Please help............

Here is my HijackThis log:

After you download the program, unzip it into a directory. Don't use it yet.

2. Download Ad-aware SE: here
Install it. When you get the last screen, with the "Finish" button and 3 options, uncheck those three items.
Open AdAware and click the "Check for updates now" link. Close AdAware. Don't use it yet.

5. Copy the contents of the Quote Box below to Notepad.
Click File menu -> Save and name the file as fix.reg

Then press the button that looks like a red circle with a white X in it.
When it asks if you would like to Reboot now, press the NO button.

Hi

Please look fo this file:
C:\WINDOWS\System32\W8C6S4~1.DLL <-- this file

and post the full name please.

REBOOT your computer and post a new HJT log please.

From the moment you post your log, until you see a detailed fix written up, DO NOT reboot your system or log off. If you do, the pest will morph and the fix will fail.

Cryo,

Please forgive my ignornace, I am new at this.

Should I look for that file in HJT and check it for Fix or should I search my computer for it? If yes for the search, do you then want me to copy and paste the full name to this forum? Should delete it when it is found?

I will wait for a reply before proceeding

TY

Yes

Should delete it when it is found?

No. You will kill it with the Killbox later, together with other files. If you simply delete this file it will come back.

Good job

Please look also for files like this one:

99llgyesdp1ht9.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll

There should be some in the c:\windows\system32 folder.

Post all these filenames here please.

OK OK, We ARE getting somewhere. I followed all the steps and even did a few twice. During the Killbox steps, even after copy and pasting, twice, the files for steps 1 thru 5 were still in my WINDOWS/system32.

HOWEVER, After the final reboot, the win-eto and t.swap problem DID NOT LOAD when I started IE. The other pain about;blank did.

Here is the lastest HJT log.

We are getting closer??
