Need Help Windows File Protection

1> imported some files from CD
2> watched DVD
3> came back to see error message windows file protection
4> then i rebooted and screen went blank after loggin in with jus the desktop background

Can you give us some more information? e.g-
Your computer specs,
What exactly the error message was,
