chrome is my default browser.

i have noticed that when i search for something in the google search bar, the results will display for the initial search. a few secs later, the results disappear and a new search query populates the bar, but rarely shows results. the query is "how to protect a file". if i search for the initial search again however, it works.

i've deleted my cache, uninstalled and reinstalled chrome, and it still happens.

it even populates the search field in gmail too.

i checked safari and it doesn't appear to happen there.

any suggestions?
