I'm running windows 7 Ultimate and I have a Samsung Galaxy 3 that I have tried to connect to my laptop. When I restart my laptop I get this error message? I tried to uninstall all the Samsung software and start over. When I tried to uninstall the Samsung link I got the same error? and it didn't let me uninstall it. How do I resolve this?

How do i post the screenshot of the error?

As I mentioned elsewhere to another question like this.

You will need to use an image hosting site like Photobucket, Imgur or Postimg.org as examples. Once you upload your image to the image hosting service of your choice, you'll be able to post the imagehosting URL here.

Download and install CCleaner Slim http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/builds

Open CCleaner, click on Tools, click on Startup, click Save to text file, choose a suitable place such as the desktop, click save.

Open the saved file named startup, copy the contents of the file to the clipboard, paste the contents when you reply

Type cmd into search. When the search results show cmd (command prompt), right click on the cmd file, click run as administrator.

When the command prompt opens type in
chkdsk /r
press enter, type in y, press enter.

Restart the computer, the disk check will run.

When the computer starts again try to uninstall the Samsung software again.

Is Samsung Kies the name of the software?
If it is try to uninstall it following this info
http://www.samsung.com/us/kies/

Have you got Java installed?

Go here to check http://www.java.com/en/download/installed.jsp click verify.

If Java is installed; uninstall it and install it again. There is a download link on the check Java webpage.

I ran the check disk and tried to uninstall with the revo uninstaller and it does not show the samsung link in there. So I went to my start menu and tried to uninstall it under the program itself and came up the same error? I also tried to uninstall in the add/remove programs with the same result.

Yes.  Open CCleaner, Tools, Startup, click on Samsung Link, click on disable. That should stop the  error message at startup.

Open the Samsung Link installer again.  If you get a choice of repair or remove, go for remove.  If the attempt to remove it fails, try the repair option.  Then try the remove option again. You might be told to restart the computer to complete removal or repair. Restart before the next stage.

I tried Samsung Kies for a while. These programs seem to be more trouble than useful. To use your computer for looking at files on the phone and copying files, you can install a driver. Then when you use Windows Explorer you will see something like

You can download the driver from http://www.samsung.com/us/support/downloads
