I saw this program listed as a no brainer for Windows 7  in the Bleeping Computers Win 7 optimization links , it appears to cost $29.95 a year , is this the right program or any other info.

The program is in the part II of Windows optimization tips , there's a part I and II.  I first saw the links at the bottom of "Animals" profile.

Where do you see this listed? Were you logged in when you saw it? I just looked in the Downloads section and I don't see an Optimization section.

I'm not seeing an 'Optimization Tutorial' in any of the links in my signature. As myrti said it would be most helpful if you could provide a link to where you see this.

My apologies to Animal, my mistake ,  it was from quietman's  post.   The PC Fix It program is listed near the bottom of part II.  Apparently I didn't see the ignore part, also my mistake.

I'll ask quietman to take a look at this thread. Please be patient as he may not be available immediately.

Yes some of those links contain useful information for performance optimization tips. Unfortunately they sometimes advertise optimizing tools which is why I indicated in bolded red to ignore any such recommendation.

Glad you figured it out.

Why not just remove the links since it is possible (like I did ) someone just reads the blue .  If I overlooked it I bet the words (I recommend a very useful tool )  can certainly confuse a person who is brand new to computers because most have no clue what a registry optimization tool is.

Just take it out , just a thought.

That post was created April 25, 2013 and has 573,408 views from members/guests all over the world. It was specifically created for novice users since they comprise the majority of Bleeping Computer's membership. You are the only one to advise you only read the blue.

There is no way you can say with certainty how many have downloaded and used that tool so for you to say I'm the only one who was confused about it is a guess at best and I'm surprised you would even make such a comment .

The fact is I'm the only one who actually brought it to BC's attention but there's no doubt  It should still be removed unless you know for a fact that no one has ever downloaded it which you obviously can't know but that's another story.
