Hello, as the title suggests, i need some help.

I recently (for Xmas) built my own computer.

It was my first time building one and, can i just say, it was fun.

However, now, I've got a small issue. Not huge or terrible awful, but an issue.

After I installed Windows 8 on it, I immediately installed Java. (I Play Minecraft A Lot)

And I Immediately noticed I had a Memory Issue (obviously, RAM)

My game would always come up with "Minecraft Has Run Out Of Memory!"

That, Or it would just Up and Quit on me.

I Soon noticed that Java had TWO separate processes running! One was my game,

and the other, a background process. The background process was trying to use

3GB Of RAM Just as my main process was. (To Clarify, I Currently only have 4GB of RAM installed)

Now, every time I launch FTB (if you don't know what it is, Google it.) I have to Do CTRL+ALT+DELETE

and Open up Task Manager and close out that Second Java process. VERY annoying.

And, On top of that, if i forget, my computer normally freezes up on me and i have no choice but to Force Restart.

I've Tried what seems like everything. From Re-installing Java (only a bazillion times) from even editing

the registry (I know, it's dangerous, but i'm desperate.)

Below is a list of my Hardware:

  • 4GB Adata RAM
  • AMD FX 6-Core 3.3 GHz Processor
  • AMD Radeon HD6570 Graphics Card
  • Thermaltake TR2 500W Power Supply
  • Gigabyte 78LMT-USB3 Motherboard
  • Western Digital 1TB HDD (Installed Recently)
  • Western Digital 230GB HDD (Currently Un-Used)

Thanks for the help!
