I am also suffering from the problem. All files on the computer are decrypted. But I think I can help the developers with my situation. Although each and single file has been locked still there are few MP3 songs from a single movie which is still working well. I can upload those files so that developers may check pattern of those files and other infacted files.

Hi,

There is an ongoing discussion in this topic: .POSHCODER Malware Removal? (same as POSHKODER, just a slightly different spelling). Rather than have everyone start individual topics, it would be best (and more manageable for staff) if you posted any questions, comments or requests for assistance in that topic discussion.

Thank you,

xXToffeeXx~

Hi.

I was hacked with the POSHKODER malware yesterday after I opened Dropbox to retrieve an MS Word file I needed. Guys, until this issue can be fixed please do not use your infected computers and do not open anything from Dropbox. I am not sure where else this malware is but I am so afraid to send emails from my computer as I do not want to infect other people's computers. Please keep me posted with available fixes. I really need my MS Office files back and I don't want to have to pay that fee just to decode my own files that the malware infected.

Again there is a lengthy ongoing discussion in this topic: PoshCoder Malware Removal.

Rather than have everyone start individual topics, it would be best (and more manageable for staff) if you posted any questions, comments or requests for assistance in that topic discussion.
