Hi

Your laptop officially only support Windows 7 so there is no driver download available on Asus support site. However we can install generic drivers from Intel as a test. Please download and install the below drivers and let me know whether it helps.

Intel Chipset : https://downloadcenter.intel.com/confirm.aspx?httpDown=http://downloadmirror.intel.com/20775/eng/SetupChipset.exe&lang=eng&Dwnldid=20775&ProductID=816&ProductFamily=Software+Products&ProductLine=Chipset+Software&ProductProduct=Intel%C2%AE+Chipset+Software+Installation+Utility

Rapid Storage Technology : https://downloadcenter.intel.com/confirm.aspx?httpDown=http://downloadmirror.intel.com/23496/eng/SetupRST.exe&lang=eng&Dwnldid=23496&ProductID=2101&ProductFamily=Software+Products&ProductLine=Chipset+Software&ProductProduct=Intel%C2%AE+Rapid+Storage+Technology+(Intel%C2%AE+RST)

Hi thank you so much, the error doesnt come up anymore after i restart my computer! however I am getting a google chrome error everytime i restart my computer.  It says that it wasn't shut down properly and asks if i want to restore my session. The strange thing about this is that when i exit chrome and reopen it, i dont get that message. But if i exit chrome, restart my computer and reopen chrome, it always says that it didnt shut down properly and im thinking my previous error message might have something to do with it.  any clues or suggestions?  I'm researching to see if there's anyone else that has had the same experiences as me.

Again thanks for your help earlier you've been amazing!

Hi

Please try the below steps.

1. Click on the Chrome Menu button

2. Click Settings and then Show Advanced Settings.

3. Deselect the option 'Continue running background apps when Google Chrome is closed' ( check the attachment ).

4. If that don't help, type chrome:extensions in the address bar. You will see all extensions listed there.

5. Deselect all of them and check whether the issue remains.
