I've never had an issue with downloading in the past. My view of downloading files was, if I could open the file, I had the file. But I'm just curious if there's anything more to it. Is it possible for you to open a file up perfectly fine, but then later on when you try to open it, you can't for some reason? I;m not talking about virus attacks either. I'm just curious of the science behind downloading files and web browsing. Is there anything more to downloading, or is it just completely black and white?

Can you be more specific on what file was downloaded and installed on your computer? It may be isolated but not uncommon.

I'm talking about downloading video and picture files, along with word documents. Simple stuff, not no software files. Are downloading these completely black and white?
