Hi guys, just a quick question. Is it necessary to back up my data via the Windows action center if I can do this externally? To me I don't think it is but what are your recommendations?

Thanks

Its optional, but when you get malware, ransomware or HDD fails this will help. (If you backup to another physical drive that didn't connect to computer at that time.)

For me I scheduled it once a month.

Thank you.

Yes, I scheduled it via action center to backup everything in C drive at first day of every month automatically. And yes you can do that, just select your DVD drive as destination, make sure you inserted blank, writable DVD and the space in the disc is enough.

Thank you.
