I've never had pop up issues before with Adblock, but lately I've been getting some that open in other windows on Chrome and Firefox. Also, green hyperlinks seem to sneak in the text of over normal web pages and link to "Get Media Player Total", "Remove Virus from PC".

Here are the ones popping up lately:

First, try uninstalling related or unknown extensions and disabling related or unknown plugins. (meaning those you did not intentionally install)

How to do that: Uninstall extensions - Chrome Help    Plug-ins - Chrome Help  (if in doubt...just disable the add-on...you can always re-enable)

Allow CCleaner to cleanup your temp files, logs and ad cookies/ third party cookies or do it manually.

Piriform - Software for Apple Mac OS X

Do you have any sort of anti-virus program installed on your computer? While this may not be a virus/malware/etc per se, it is still a good idea even if it is not. Of course, running a scan would not hurt and might find something if it is a virus/malware/etc.

Which Mac OS version are you running? Is it up-to-date? Is Java turned on? Do you have Flash installed and, if so, is it the latest version?
