Would You Believe The RIAA Would Go Back On Its Word?

Following the news of the RIAA suing XM for daring to come up with a device that lets people record their satellite radio offerings, it seems worth reminding the RIAA how they swore up, down, left and right that they would never, ever file such a lawsuit....

Said the scorpion to the frog, "I guess it's just my nature".

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.
The only ones making any money in all this are the lawyers.

Don't forget those of us who record off of Shoutcast streams....

Ooh, I guess that makes me a "criminal" too.

Somewhere..... I have a couple of 7" reels of tape full of music I recorded off of an FM radio station. Better fidelity than most MP3's (MP3 being a lossing compression method).

I do believe the courts have always held that recording music off the radio for personal use fell under the 'Fair Use' umbrella.
