I took the data backup from my old XP system (I use Kapersky Pure) and did a restore into my new system.  The files are all displayed but I get error messages when I open the files.

Excel file gives me this message:

Excel can't open 'planner.xlsx' because the file format or extension is not valid. Verify file has not ben corrupted and the file extension matches file format.

Word message:

Word cannot open the document: user does not have access privileges (C:\path\filename.docx)

Is there an easy fix, or do I need to do the long method of copy/paste of all my files from one drive to the other.
