Upload the actual crash dump files.

You will find the crash dump files inside C:\Windows\Minidump folder. To copy the dumps, disable "User Account Control" first. Otherwise you may receive a permission error. After disabling UAC, copy and zip all the dumps using 7-zip ( http://www.7-zip.org ). Either attach the zip with next reply using "More reply options --> Attach files" or use a free file hosting site.

For example -> http://www.mediafire.com/

Publish a snapshot of your system using Speccy

Please follow the below tutorial to know how to use "Speccy" to collect system info.

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/323892/publish-a-snapshot-using-speccy/

Don't paste the output displayed by "Speccy" here. Instead paste the web link it displays.

 Minitoolbox log

Download "Minitoolbox" from the below link.

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/minitoolbox/

Run the tool and only select the following tick boxes.

List last 10 Event viewer errors
List installed program
List users, partition and memory size
List Minidumps

Now click "Go" and post the output displayed in next reply.

You have 8GB of RAM installed, but the speccy is only showing 4GB of RAM.  You may have a faulty RAM module, or a bad slot.  To determine what is going on pull one of the modules and restart the computer.  If it starts switch the RAM to the other slot to see if there is a problem with that slot.  If both the slot and the module work exchange the module with the one which was pulled and try the same test with it.

This also could be a module which wasn't properly seated.

Can you please clarify .. Not sure where your seeing 8GB of memory ?

I only have 2 x slots on motherboard and each one has a 2GB of memory strip in each. When I look in speccy it shows both slots as being used.

Many thanks

We are not talking about virtual memory, we are talking about the  physical memory, RAM.

I miss read the figures, the RAM is as advertised.

What is curious though is that the RAM is shown to be running in single channel.  You have two identical modules, it should be running in dual channel.

For testing purposes please download and install AVAST!, once it is installed uninstall McAfee.

Please download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.

1)  Double-click on mbam-setup.exe, then click on Run to install the application, follow the prompts through the installation.

2)  Malwarebytes will automatically open.  If this is the first time you have run this version of Malwarbytes you will see an image like the one below.

Have now loaded Avast and ran Malwarebytes - both came back clean. As for Dump files I posted them just before your last post via mediafire.

I can now confirm you are correct, I have just downloaded & run cpu-z . This shows the memory is running as single channel. ?

any suggestions how to correct this, is this a Bios issue.

many thanks

I apologize for not seeing your post. Your crash dump is showing an issue with Nvidia. Please update your Nvidia drivers directly from the nvidia website.

Does CPU-Z under the SPD show the two modules having the same specs?

I believe that one of these modules was mislabeled.

You might want to call the manufacturer's support number and see if they would do something about this.  Running in dual channel will improve the performance of this computer.
