Hi, I usually just read from the forums here when I have an issue, but I'm honestly confounded by something that happened recently. I logged in last night(4-2-2014) and when I clicked on my start orb, my menu is around an inch to the right of my screen. I've moved the taskbar to left/right/top position and it worked perfect again. Scans from Mwb and avast haven't found anything, I've tried returning the settings to default even. I'm sure that I'm not seeing something obvious and was hoping someone could help me. For an older machine, my laptop has been doing ok and now I'm at a loss as what to do. Thank you anyone that can help!

Cool skin, What is it? How is it applied?  Was it an installer?  You download it and click an exe to install it?  Was it an engine like Windows Blinds? Is it just a Windows theme? Did you need to modify anything( hack is such an ugly word) to make it work?

It's the Deus Ex Revolution CTX theme by Tiger. I got it last year, and I've had no problems with it. CTX, Universal Theme Patcher.. Task Dock by Solo Dev and Blackglass. This is my only windows rig and have never seen or heard of something like this so i'm a bit confused lol I'm wondering if it's a gui/os issue or if there's something else going on.

I don't mind showing scan results ect if needed, I'm unsure what's going on.

There's nothing in your Speccy report that jumps up and hits me, but, just as a suggestion, switch that rather smart wallpaper for one of the standard Windows ones, or even just a plain colour, and see if the problem continues. Since you have been using it for some time it is unlikely to be the cause, but this would eliminate it as a suspect.

I've just had a look at the Start menu properties and, unless it is very well hidden, I can see nothing there either about undocking the start menu.

Changing the wallpaper didn't work, however if I change to a different them altogether, it fixes the issue. Must be something with this one, so I'll just have to keep fiddling with it, or reinstall it and see anything changes. Thank you for leading me on the right track! :)
