I installed Secunia on my computer through my university.  Since January, Secunia keeps notifying Windows Update I need an Adobe Reader update.  Every time I turn off my computer, it tries to get the update from Adobe before shutting down but fails.  I tried to update my Adobe Reader manually, and it says no updates are available.  So I uninstalled Secunia, but the same notification from January 15 still pops up every time I turn on my computer!  I have uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe Reader 3 times, told Windows Update to hide the notification every time I use my computer, but it keeps popping up.

How do I permanently "delete" this notification that I need to install an update?!  It's been driving me bonkers for 2 and a half months and I can't take it any more....

It says:

Update Adobe Reader

Download size: 158.8 MB

Update Type: Important

Made by the Secunia CSI

and then gives the CSI version, product id, package guide, and csi creation date.

Now it is also telling me Secunia said I need an update to Adobe Acrobat.  I didn't get Adobe Acrobat until last night.  Does this mean Secunia isn't really uninstalled?

Help!

Hello it does seem that way.. What Secunia product is it?

Please download MiniToolBox, save it to your desktop and run it.

  • Reset FF Proxy Settings
  • List content of Hosts
  • List IP configuration

PSI version 3.0.0.7009 and CSI agent version 6.0.1.1005

On my task manager, it says Secunia is not running anymore.  And I uninstalled it via my control panel, so I'm not sure.

What is the mini toolbox you are talking about?
