Does anyone know why I'm getting this message from Google?

"Our systems have detected unusual traffic from your computer network. This page checks to see if it's really you sending the requests, and not a robot."

Then I'm required to enter text in CAPTCHA.

CAPTCHA has to be one of the most annoying things on the internet.

"annoying" is a mild descriptive.

I reported this to Google and for a few days things seemed to improve, but today I'm getting the same message. As an alternative I've been using duckduckgo.

Google is on top of my hit list.

ACTUALLY they are on mine as well.  They have several things they do which  seem to be a bit heavy-handed.  They are impossible to reach.   I'm working my way toward being able to cut them loose.
