just tried to run security check on my old xp machine to ensure it is all in good condition before i disconnect form the internet on it for the last time. securitycheck gave an error of "unsupported operating system", an older copy of securoity check i downloaded some months back also said this when i tried running it straight afterwards. is this supposed to happen?
as extra info i have service pack 3 on the xp machine

Edit: Moved topic from Windows XP to the more appropriate forum.~ Animal

Security Check runs on Windows XP/Vista/7...see the download page.

I just ran it on my XP SP3 machine.

I have advised the developer about your issue.

I have been advised that this issue happens from time to time. When it does, it usually can be fixed by rebooting the computer and running Security Check again.

i'll turn on the xp machine again before the end of support date and when i do so i will try running securitycheck again, it's just it's never refused to run before.

there is a note about the program "SecurityCheck.exe" that i ought to add. i have noticed recently that when running it from time to time to check if my system is in order it no longer detects malwarebytes(free scanner version) as being installed, it used to detect version 1.75 but i don't think it can detect version 2.00 .
