Hi forum. I've joined to post this thread in an attempt to get some assistance with a computer infection.
I recently started using different proxy sites for the pirate bay and after clicking on a link on the website its normal for a popup to appear, but this popup claimed to be flash/java so I closed it down as quickly as I could.. Long story short I now have a process called "CPU.EXE" which forces my processor to go nuts and I can't seem to get rid of it.
When I open task manager it shuts itself off. I have run malawarebytes in safemode, CCleaner and Combofix to no avail. After running combofix lastnight it appeared to have killed it but the CPU.EXE has re-appeared today. Can anyone help please? Last thing I want to do is have to format because of this kind of virus, as I have had to in the past and its a pain in the arse.

Edit: Moved topic from Windows 7 to the more appropriate forum.~ Animal
