USB DAC connection from PC to Integraded Amplifier

For instance...



In setting this up over a distance of over 15ft.   Is a 30ft mini stereo headphone <>rca stereo pair cable preferable to a 30 USB extension?

The information you have provided indicates that it is a USB 1.0 device.  The USB 1.0 specification places a design limit of 3.0 meters on the cable length, so you should try to stick to that.  A longer cable might work but you could not be sure of a reliable connection.
