My father and i are using diffrent computers but one wifi router , hes downloading crap everyday and when i try to download at the same time he gets all the speed and i only get 10-20kb/s why is that ? why its not spliting to 50%/50%,

What's the overall bandwidth you pay for from your internet provider? It sounds like you don't have much, unless he is doing multiple downloads at once. If the bandwidth is low from the provider then it's easy for one to staturate the speed all to one PC. If your router has QOS options you can limit his wifi bandwidth. Typically the QOS in a linksys router or whatever you can limit the bandwidth down to 1mbits cap for each wifi link. This of course will probably kill the movie stream experience if that is what he does. Usually this isn't an issue with cable internet as most plans start out at 10mbits on up to 200mbits.
