Hi!

The problem started when I launched  League of legends and the monitor went completely brown then black. I restarted the computer and I got these white horizontal lines all over my monitor. I talked with a guy who said he had a similar problem and he fixed it by relplacing the graphic card. i decided to do the same and I bought a MSI gtx 760 2gb PhysX

This was my specs before i attempted to install the gtx 760

cpu: i7 2600 3.4ghz

motherboard: Intel H67 express

gpu: Radeon HD 6850

ram: 12gb (DDR3 SDRAM, 1333 MHz, PC3-10600, DIMM 240-pin)

psu: 500 watt

OS: win7 64bit

I didn't change anything but the graphic card so the specs excluding the graphic card remains the same.

The problem is my monitor won't turn on when i turn on my pc. The monitor is properly connected with a DVI to the computer but it still won't show anything on the screen. I have tried to remove 4gb of ram and power on the pc, running the pc with 8gb ram (I dont' know if this changes anything)

Any idea how i should fix this?

Did you completely remove the AMD/ATI graphics drivers before installing the drivers for the MSI card?

I did not. Should i install the old graphic card and remove them?

Anything more i should try while still having the old graphic card plugged in?

You need to check the hardware is properly functional as well.  Test the monitor is working properly by connecting it to another computer and also try using a different DVI cable.
