Does anyone in the EU know of / or use Threema?  I have downloaded it as an alternative to Whatsapp because I dont like the route that the company is taking with the whole -  Facebook thing.  I am having a problem entering my number into the Threema system though as it is set up only for US digits?! help please

Since Theema was developed by a Swiss company you surprise me when you say "it is set up only for US digits". I know keyboards differ markedly from one language layout to another but I thought the numbers were in the same places.

Might it be worth your while to uninstall Threema and re-install it, perhaps checking carefully any language, country or keyboard options as you install it ? That's all I can think of.

Hi! Thank you so much for your response....

Yes, that is what I thought... I had my phone settings in English and originally DLed and payed for the app with my US itunes account, then the number was US.  SO, I deleted that app and switched to my Austrian itunes account and RE-bought the app.  STILL the same.

Now, I switched the language setting on my iphone to German, deleted the app, re-installed it and tried again - still the same thing. It says "Enter Cell phone number (201) 555-5555 and that is the American cell number system...

Any other ideas????
