Hello,

About a month ago, I downloaded the Bitlord program. I uninstalled this almost immediately as I noticed many other programs/ browser toolbars & add-ons / new default homepage had been installed without my permssion. All the other programs were easily removed and detected by my anti virus programs (Kaspersky and Search and Destory) except one.

There's this program called 'Play Radio Now' that has installed itself onto my hardrive. It hijacks my browser with pop up adds in the lower right and middle, causing my computer to become incredibly slow. There is also a pop up radio that appears in the top right hand corner.

I uninstalled this program and deleted the shortcut from my desktop only for it to reappear the next time I turn on my computer. Kaspersky does not detect it. Search ahd Destroy detects about 30 minor threats. I quarentine these entries and did another search to be sure and the same entries came up.

I have tried to follow many manual virus removal guides but when it comes to removing associaed files, my computer states that I do not have permissions to follow out these actions. I am kind of at a loss...

I use Windows 7. I have back ups of my important documents but not of the operating system or programs.

I will be very grateful if someone could assist me. Let me know if you require anymore information.

Many thanks,

Tange

are you the administrator of the pc? If so, then "Play Radio Now" has messed with permissions. Try the Kaspersky Rescue Disk 10. This is a disk that does not run under windows, meaning "Play Radio Now" can't do anything about it.

I ran the Kaspersky Rescue Disk but it is still unable to detect and therefore remove the virus. Please, any help?

Download AdwCleaner and run it, this should help.
