Hello i ordered a used motherboard from ebay,

Today it arrived

I tried to see if it works, by connenting the power supply for mobo and cpu, the ram, the cpu, the cpu fan, and the power switch,

when for first time i swiched on the psu and pushed the power on botton, it started to work the psu, the cpu, and the cpu fan, i holded down the power on botton to shut down the system but it didn't stut down. after that i shutted it down by the psu switch.

after that when i switch on the psu, the cpu, the cpu fan, and the psu are working without pressind the mobo power on switch, and it does not shut down until swiching off psu switch.

i tried two different psu

another compatible cpu

amother compatible ram

furthermore i changed the mobo battery

the results are tha same

the mobo is the ACER ASPIRE E650 S775 MOTHERBOARD MB.S4607.001 945G-M6 REV.1

can you help me please?

thank you

As it was used, you have no way of knowing what its history is, or if you can trust the seller. Do a detailed inspection of the board and look for any sign of damage.

Here's a few pictures to peruse.

Here's a few more.

Seems more like a power switch issue. Is this a direct replacement of a mobo.

Without an OS installed your only option is to shut it off manually, pressing the towers buttons will not work except to restart it.  Install you OS and it should be just fine.

could you provide more information about your problem?
does it only pressing power button that not shut down your computer or you get no POST on your computer?

please dont be panic, it usually happen when you attached PSU cable to mainboard and will working normal after you turn you computer on and go to BIOS or OS

the power switch is a usual switch for the front panel of a mobo

furthermore even without the power switch, when the current is on the psu, cpu, and cpu fun are working

You did not mention no post beeps until your last post, is the mother board speaker on the correct pins?  Also any flashing lights on the key board?  With the battery change the board should be at its default setting.

Please answer these questions:

Why did you buy a new motherboard? Is it the same as the one you are replacing.

Is the memory new?

sorry I miss that battery

when you say two / another, does that mean you have a working computer and try to test that mainboard with parts for that working computer? if yes, it's better to contact seller from ebay and tell that your mainboard not working, hope that seller give a personal warranty for that mainboard.
