Hi, I am using Avira anti virus and it is popping up a window for a download that supposedly will speed up my computer,  I am leery about such programs and would appreciate some feedback on this.

Also, I get another pop up for an add on for Google chrome, I mostly use FF but do use chrome also, sometimes I have them both running.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I use Avira Free...these popups should just be ignored, they are part of the way things are done these days.  Just as the Chrome browser and some toolbar are part of the install package if the user doesn't elect a custom install.

Life on the Internet in 2014, nothing to be concerned about or accept.
