Like, having an outdated internet browser. I use Safari, and I'm always told it's an outdated internet browser. I'm not a complicated person. I mainly just use the internet for homework, surf the web, and to download. I haven't had any problems even though I'm using Safari. I'd just rather get an answer from computer technicians or people with experience with using computers. So, does having an outdated program pose any harm to your computer at all?

Yes. You should have the latest, Failing to do so may allow all sorts of things into your pc.

Things that should be updated. At a minumum.

Java ( If you don't need it uninstall it)

Malwarebytes. ( if you have it)

These are important and if not updated could expose you to malware.

Also please read any other suggestions made by the malware response team .
