Hello,

I recently had some malware removed from my computer with help from the excellent volunteers. However, I seem to have run into a completely different problem.  Every time I try to open certain apps, they just crash immediately. Not all apps, mostly ones that came preloaded with Windows. The real dilemma is this: I uninstall an app, go to the Windows Store to install it again, wait about five minutes, and then get a message saying my INternet connection is too slow. I checked it and it's 16MBPS, so this is not the case! I've tried sfc/scannow, the Windows Modern UI troubleshooter, Windows All-in-one Repair, wsreset.exe, and numerous other solutions on the Internet. I can't locate the source of the problem, and its driving me completely nuts!!!!! :( :(

Help much appreciated!

Thanks. :)

I read you other topic, have you tried a different browser, like Firefox or Chrome?

Try one of these and see if you can download.  If you can do the following.

Please download and install Speccy to provide us with information about your computer.  When  FileHippo opens, click on Download latest version in the upper right pane.

When Speccy opens you will see a screen similar to the one below.

Click on File which is outlined in red in the screen above, and then click on Publish Snapshot.

The following screen will appear, click on Yes.

The following screen will appear, click on Copy to Clipboard.

In your next post right click inside the Reply to Topic box, then click on Paste.  This will load a link to the Speccy log.

WHAT?????

It's all working now. What the heck?????

It's probably the third time this week that my PC has suddenly started working again.

I think this issue is now resolved.

Thanks.
