Hello experts,

I'm trying to remove the FBI / Reveton malware and using HitmanPro. My problem is that after booting to the USB drive that HitmanPro is installed on, the scan begins on an unintended HDD, not the system drive I believe is infected.  How can I ensure the correct HDD is targeted and scanned?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.   Thank you!

Update:  With some boot order changes, I'm heading to the right drive, but Windows 8.1 keeps attempting automatic repairs instead of allowing HitmanPro to scan.  After Win 8.1 'couldn't repair the PC', I'm given the options to Shut Down or select Advanced Options.

Contact HitmanPro Support directly by email.

erikloman, an Authorized SurfRight Rep. started a topic here at BC to introduce HitmanPro.Alert (CryptoGuard). He posts updates and answers questions sometimes in that topic and by email. As an Authorized Rep., he and other Support Techs would be more familiar with any issues encountered using HitmanPro than any of our staff or members.

Edwin Engels (eengels), another SurfRight Rep. also visits BC on occasion in order to answers questions. He can be contacted by email at edwin@surfright.com
