I found an article describing how to do it ...

http://www.ghacks.net/2010/05/09/how-to-backup-system-restore-points/

...and while I figured out where the restore points were...I was quite intrigued...

I had one restore point (the most recent) that was around 4G...when I went to create a new restore point (RP) (to make sure I was looking at what I expected...), the previous RP was re-written and is now around 3.6 G, with the new one 261M ...

It also changed the mod date of the following two folders within System Volume Information (SVI)...

SystemRestore (which is an empty folder, the RPs are stored at the top level of SVI) as well as SPP...

I would like to be able to backup restore points and put them on another drive for safekeeping...

Any thoughts or ideas?

Thanks!

Jann
