For some reason my sound will be off, I click the speaker icon in the lower right hand corner, and it fixes it, gets rid of the X, but as soon as I try to playback audio on the internet or on my WMP, it X's out again, doesn't work with rear speakers nor my headphones.

Have you looked in the Device manager to see if there are any red errors or yellow warning under Sound, video and game controllers?

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.
