StartupRepairOffline - BadDriver

Hello. I've created a thread before in Windows 7 subforum but then I made a couple google searches and I found out that most of these StartUpRepairOffline errors were created in this forum so I decided to post it here as well, sorry if this isn't allowed but I just thought it would be a better idea :P


4 days ago my computer was running fine, no problems at all and I could do everything just as normal. A week or two before that, my computer started to blue screen every so often, I can remember it was BlueScreen BCCode 50, that's all, but then I ran chkdsk /f /r and SRC /scannow and it stopped, but then I remembered it may have been a driver outdate problem, so I used Iobit Driver Booster to check it out, funnily enough, 2 updates were available, one of them being nearly useless, and the other one, well, it was an NVidia driver update, the size wasn't really big, not like the drivers downloaded from the nvidia website which are like 300mb, this one was a small as, if I'm not wrong, just about 17 mb for both the updates (i'm probably wrong, but it's not over 30mb for sure)
and all went alright, nothing really bad happened and I got no error notifications whatsoever, until yesterday, which when I turned on my computer, it showed the usual "HP Invent" screen and then, without attempting to load windows, Windows Error Recovery showed up. Which said:
Windows failed to start. A recent hardware of software change might be the cause.
If Windows files have been damaged or configured incorrectly, Startup Repair can help diagnose and fix the problem. If power was interrupted during startup, choose Start Windows Normally.
(Use the arrow keys to highlight your choice.)
Launch Startup Repair (recommended)
Start Windows Normally
Obviously a power interruption wasn't the cause, so I knew something was wrong and selected the first option. Windows started loading files and the Startup Repair tab opened, telling me to select the keyboard input method. I selected Portuguese because it's my actual keyboard configuration and what I'm used to.
Startup repair then started looking for problems in my computer, detecting nothing. I then got the option to send info to Microsoft to look for further help, nothing was found and I was told to Shut Down or Restart computer. I then just restarted, going back to the Startup Repair screen, this time, I selected the option to see the problem details, which are as follows:

I then went to the Advanced system recovery and support options, which lead me to the user selection screen, I selected my username, which is "Utilizador" and then some options showed, they were:
Startup Repair
System Restore
System Image Recovery
Windows Memory Diagnostic
Command Prompt
I've already tried Startup Repair, System Restore, which showed no previous points in time (I have Iobit Advanced Systemcare, and whenever it analyzes my computer, it creates a restore point, which I actually do every day, but no actual restore points were found). I can't Use the System Image Recovery because I have none, I do not own a Windows 7 CD, because I have a laptop. I also have an SSD, and it was a bit full, like 1GB left of space, maybe less after the update, because I decided to install Visual Basic, to get into to the world of coding.
I have most of my stuff on my external hard drive, and my disk still have some stuff if I need it, I just get into the command prompt, open notepad and just do stuff by going to the save tab and browsing there.
I've also tried pressing F8, the PC does a beeping sound and goes to the Startup Repair page like in the starting, also pressed Esc. and then in F11 to recover the system, back to the Startup Repair page again. Nothing really in my reaching I can do now. I'm the administrator of the PC.
I believe what caused this was the NVidia update, but I could be wrong.
Here is the Farbar Recovery Scan I did using a Pen Drive:
Tried to run chkdsk /f /r; chkdsk; chkdsk c: /f /r; chkdsk c: /f /v; ...... but couldn't do it, I just kept getting this error "failed to transfer logged messages to the event log with status 50". Same thing with SFC /scannow, it just tells me there is a system repair that needs a restart to be finished, tells me to restart Windows and run SFC again, every time I do it, so I'm also unable to use it, I guess. Nonetheless, I pressed Esc. at the starting of the computer and ran all the tests there and no problem, also ran the tests available in the BIOS and no problems found either.
Oh and also, I ran SFC /scannow , when my computer was running fine for the last time, it detected an error and fixed it, according to the results of the SFC.
If any further information is necessary, I will be more than glad to provide it to you.

We need to see some information about what is happening in your machine. Please perform the following scan again:

  • Download DDS by sUBs from the following link if you no longer have it available and save it to your destop.

    DDS.com Download Link
  • Double click on the DDS icon, allow it to run.
  • A small box will open, with an explanation about the tool. No input is needed, the scan is running.
  • Notepad will open with the results.
  • Follow the instructions that pop up for posting the results.
  • Close the program window, and delete the program from your desktop.
Please note: You may have to disable any script protection running if the scan fails to run. After downloading the tool, disconnect from the internet and disable all antivirus protection. Run the scan, enable your A/V and reconnect to the internet.
