I am new to this forum and I hope someone can help me with a recent problem I am having. My apologies if this problem has been addressed elsewhere. For the last week, whenever I try to open a program, I get an error message as follows:

c:\progra~2\window~1\window~1.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support.

When I click on "OK" the program runs and seem sto be fine. However, I get this type of message regardless of the program I am trying to open. I have uninstalled and then re-installed many of the programs but the problem persists.

I have a Gateway netbook - Wndows 7 starter - 32 bit OS

Any help anyone can provide will be appreciated. Thanks.
