After several attempts to install Microsoft Sec. Essentials on my windows xp home edition 32-bit SP3,

I tried to do it in Safe Mode.

During start-up > pushed on f8 (before Windows-logo appeared ) > Nothing happened.

After several times I tried 'msconfig' and in Boot.ini I couldn't select "/safeboot" under "start-up-options. ( it was gray ) .

So thàt option I also didn't have.

Next I tried to reboot in 'Diagnostical mode' and tried to install MSE and agàin without succes!

Turned back to 'Normal start-up-mode' .

I also tried to unselect 'Automatic Maintenance'in Tune Up Utilities

and tried to install MSE > without succes.

What to do??

For several weeks I do nòt have a anti-virus software and I just Càn't install MSE.

Every few days I use the Microsoft Security online scan.

Could someone help me with this, please??

Until the 8th of april, I don't want to spend mòst of my time dealing with adware/Malware/ Viruses/Trojans/Etc.

(  next month I get a new pc with O.S. which will be supported)

TnX in Advance,
