Which tutorial are you trying to use? Please leave a link to it?

If it is the BC tutorial at:

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/9549/how-to-remove-surfsidekick-2-or-3-and-vcclient/

What part of it do you not understand?

# Double-click on the Add/Remove Programs icon.

# Look for and uninstall the following entries if found in the Add/Remove Programs window.

Surf Sidekick
Surf Sidekick 2
Surf Sidekick 3

It may prompt about whether or not you are sure you want to remove this program. Reply Yes to this prompt. It will then uninstall the program.

If there is no Add/Remove Programs entry for this programs, click on Start, then Run and type the followin in the Open: field:

C:\Program Files\SurfSideKick 3\Ssk.exe /u

and press the OK button. A code will be displayed that it will ask you to enter. Enter this code and reboot. Once back to your desktop continue with the rest of the fix.

right around the part after you go in Add\remove programs which it wasn't in there. Also am i in safe mode or no?

The tutorial does not say to boot into safe mode.

right around the part after you go in Add\remove programs which it wasn't in there.

What wasn't in there? The add/remove programs? Or did you open add/remove programs and could not find any of these:

Surf Sidekick
Surf Sidekick 2
Surf Sidekick 3
????

If you could not find add/remove programs, try this:

Go to Start > Control Panel > add/remove programs

If you got into add/remove programs ok, but could not find surf sidekick listed then follow the directions for that situation. Which is to say, go to: Start > Run type

C:\Program Files\SurfSideKick 3\Ssk.exe /u

Click OK. Etc.

NOTE: There is a space between the kick and the 3 and between the .exe and the /u

Ok. Maybe we need to get more basic here. Why do you think you are infected in the first place, what are your symptoms? And how did you conlcude that it was Surfsidekick 3?
