I have a toshiba MK1652GSX and i've used things like HD Tune Pro and Crystal Disk but unfortunately I have no idea what any of the tests mean. I bought this laptop used it's from 2008 its a hp elitebook 6930p. I really don't want to buy a new hard drive unless I have to. I originally thought I had a virus MBAM wouldn't open neither would AVG but I recently ran a mini too box test and here were the results :

I am not qualified to respond to the results of "mini tool box".

But, no doubt - Your hard drive is approaching the end of its functional lifetime.  If the disk is sluggish, let that be a sign to replace it before it fails.

Is it really worth it to buy a ssd and put it in this ho 6930p 2.4 GHz? Or should I just buy a new laptop?

A low cost SSD would be a nice upgrade and the circumstances are right.   Especially if your particular laptop has a webcam, I would consider an SSD.

Ah it doesn't I wish it did. It has a flipping fingerprint scanner but no webcam or mic. I'm so hesitant to pour money into this thing as somewhere later down the line after I finish paying of my car I want to buy a laptop more suited towards gaming. Or at the very least something with a better graphics card and more processing speed. But I don't even know how to begin to find one, or a ballpark price. I'm also worried about the video card on this laptop as windows said there was some problem with it.

Oh wow thank you. Those are small but after talking it over with my computer geek father i'm probably gonna go with something more expensive because that's way too small for me. I have one more question after looking into it last night how would I be able to tell if I could upgrade my video card or not? Because that's 30$ and with the ssd and a video graphics upgrade I should be set on this laptop for awhile. I know I need a PCI but my dad was saying most on laptops are built into the motherboard and what not.
