Starting this morning every minute or so my computer makes the usb device disconnected sound and it's driving me crazy. Any tips on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

I would first reboot the computer to see if it resolves the issue. If not download USBdview. Run it and select the heading for last Plug/UnPlug date. Right click the device with the latest date and select disconnect (not uninstall).

Hey, when you can hear it happen consistently, would you try starting to unplug peripherals? There might be a loose connector or a damaged port
