Hello all,

I'm using CodePlex Find And Replace Tool to find some text with numbers included. I'm using the text + an asterisk to find but nothing is found. (See attached pic) Am I using this wrong or is there some other method to Find and Replace? I really need some help. I've been working at this for over a week. Please help me.

What are you trying to replace and why?

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.

Why do you need to know? It's my personal business. Can you help or not?

I'm not asking anything personal, I only need to know if this is an application, a game, a text file, etc.

As to why.  If I know what you are trying to do (recover a file or data for example) perhaps I could provide a solution.

Under these circumstances I don't believe I will be able to help you.  Perhaps another member will give you a hand.

It's 595 text files I'm trying to replace numbers in a certain phrase.

Let's see if I have this correct.

You have 595 files which you want to change the number in the name of the files?

I don't know what you are referring to with "in a certain phrase".

No. In the text of the file. Look at the pic I posted originally. I'm trying to find text in the files that read ...   "pepperCandyExplosionTurns":(various numbers here)," and replace it with...   "pepperCandyExplosionTurns":200,"

FWIW:  http://findandreplace.codeplex.com/workitem/list/basic

I'd simply use a tool like UltraEdit

That doesn't work for me either. I think it's how I'm typing the Find phrase... "pepperCandyExplosionTurns":*, I'm looking for this phrase in 595 text files with different numbers where the asterisk is and trying to Replace with...  "pepperCandyExplosionTurns":200,
