For about the last two weeks, I have had occasional problems when I click on a website link.  When I click on a link, about 25% of the time, I get redirected to the website suggestions page of my local ISP.  When I try to click on the link on the website suggestions page, the same page reloads.

This problem is happening with many different links and it's happening on all three of the browsers I use on this computer-Firefox 27.0.1, IE 8.0 and AOL 9.0.  The problem is happening only on this computer.  I am running Windows XP on this computer.

I have run updated scans using Spybot Search and Destroy and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware in the last couple days.  I also did a system restore, going back two weeks, which was about when the problem started, but that didn't help.

I even called my ISP and they couldn't help me when I described the problem to them.

Thanks

Can somebody give me any ideas on what to do about this?  It's been over two weeks since I posted my question and nobody has responded.  I'm trying to be patient and I know you guys are bombarded by a lot of problems everyday but I see most of the questions that have been posted after mine have received at least one response.  Is there something else I can do in the meantime?

Thanks

I removed your HJT log. HJT logs are allowed only in Malware Removal Logs. Since it has been 2 weeks since you first posted and something may have changed on your system since then I suggest you do one of 2 things:

1) Post in Am I Infected. Give details of your issue and what you have done so far. Do not include a HJT log in Am I Infected. Someone will help you explore the possibility of malware.

OR

2) Please follow the instructions in ==>This Guide<== starting at Step 6. If you cannot complete a step, skip it and continue.

Once the proper logs are created, then make a NEW TOPIC and post it ==>HERE<== Please include a description of your computer issues, what you have done to resolve them, and a link to this topic.

If you can produce at least some of the logs, then please create the new topic and explain what happens when you try to create the log(s) that you couldn't get. If you cannot produce any of the logs, then still post the topic and explain that you followed the Prep. Guide, were unable to create the logs, and describe what happens when you try to create the logs.

It would be helpful if you post a note here once you have completed the steps in the guide and have started your topic in malware removal. Good luck and be patient.

If HelpBot replies to your topic, PLEASE follow Step One so it will report your topic to the team members.

After you have done one of the above, please come back to this topic and post a link to your NEW topic so this one can be closed.

Thanks for your quick response.  I THINK the problem is fixed.  My router was messed up.  I contacted Belkin and they helped me fix it.  It's running smoothly now.  I'll keep an eye on it over the next couple days and let you know if there are still any problems.
