Will it improve gaming in anyway? In some (if not all) situations is there something with windows 8, that allow smoother processes in gaming?

The links left by Anshad Edavana generally show 8.1 installed (not just 8)
And it has no mention of Windows 7 SP1 (that I could see), but that should be standard now.

This test seemed to see if a Video card performed better or not. in each computer.

The only real test is to use the same computer (not just same brand) with 8.1 and 7SP1 installed

Install dates, Updates, other hardware, and other programs are not listed on either test.

I have found only Minimal changes, and nothing worth spending a few $100 on, in a genuine machine 1 on 1 test
