I dont see anything wrong with the log. lets dig a bit deeper.

To use RootKit Revealer please make sure you are logged in as an Administrator to the computer.
  • Please download and unzip Rootkit Revealer to your desktop.
  • Please leave the defaults set as they are to:
    • Hide NTFS Metadata Files: this option is on by default
    • Scan Registry: this option is on by default.
  • Launch rootkit revealer on the system and press the Scan button.
RootkitRevealer scans the system reporting its actions in a status area at the bottom of its window and noting discrepancies in the output list. It may take a long time please disconnect from the internet and leave the PC to be scanned until it is finished.
  • The log can be very large please edit out the items in the following folders in the log : C:\RECYCLER\NPROTECT and C:\System Volume Information, if in the log, before posting it.
  • Please post the balance of the log here in this thread using Add Reply (please double check that it has all been posted as it may be too long for one post)]
Then Download and Save blacklite to your desktop.
F-Secure Blacklight: http://www.f-secure.com/blacklight/try.shtml
Double-click blbeta.exe then accept the agreement.
leave [X]scan through windows explorer checked,
click > scan then > next,
You'll see a list of all items found.
Don't choose for rename yet! I want to see the log first, because legit items can also be present there... like "wbemtest.exe"
There must be also a log on your desktop with the name fsbl.xxxxxxx.log (the xxxxxxx stand for numbers).
Copy and paste this log along with the rootkit revealer log.

Hello Grinler,so sorry about the delay, its a little busy at the moment.

I did everything you said to do to the word and both scans came up empty. Rootkit had nothing to show, and Backlight gave the following post:

A friend told me he also scans his system online every other week as well as using his virus protection on his system and he told me of a scanner called Kaversky, which i thought id give a try and it came up with the following, hope its ok to print this here:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
KASPERSKY ON-LINE SCANNER REPORT
Wednesday, May 24, 2006 3:02:48 AM
Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, Service Pack 2 (Build 2600)
Kaspersky On-line Scanner version: 5.0.78.0
Kaspersky Anti-Virus database last update: 24/05/2006
Kaspersky Anti-Virus database records: 195899
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Scan Settings:
Scan using the following antivirus database: extended
Scan Archives: true
Scan Mail Bases: true

Scan Target - My Computer:
A:\
C:\

Scan Statistics:
Total number of scanned objects: 43593
Number of viruses found: 1
Number of infected objects: 1
Number of suspicious objects: 0
Duration of the scan process: 01:21:14

Infected Object Name / Virus Name / Last Action
C:\WINDOWS\IPSysDrv32.dll Infected: Trojan-Clicker.Win32.Small.cs skipped

Scan process completed.

I know i did the scan a few days ago but this is the first time ive been on the net since,so thought it would be ok.

When my system has loaded, things work at a good spead, but its taking 10mins each time to load, and my friend told me that i dont have much starting in my startup list so it cant be that.

Thanks again for your help Grinler,i really appreciate it

Download this program:

submit files packer

Highlight the files listed below in bold and right-click and selecting copy.

C:\WINDOWS\IPSysDrv32.dll

Then start the file packer program and right click in the white box and select paste to paste the copied file names in the field.

Then press the Continue button.

I will create an archive with these files and a small log on your Desktop that starts with a name like requested-file[date].cab.

Rename this file to yourmembername.cab (for example grinler.cab).

Then go to:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/submit-malware.php
and fill in the required fields and browse to this file on your desktop. Finally click on the Send File button.

Download Killbox.

Extract killbox.zip to your desktop and then double-click on the Killbox.exe icon.

Select the option "Delete on reboot".

In the field labeled "Full Path of File to Delete" copy and paste next:

C:\WINDOWS\IPSysDrv32.dll

Click the button: Single File (!important!)

Then press the button that looks like a red circle with a white X in it.
Killbox will tell you that the listed file will be removed on next reboot and asks if you would like to Reboot now, click YES

Your computer must reboot now and tell me if things are better.

Hello Grinler, i followed your instructions and the file is gone, but still no improvement in speed at all. It seems to take forever for the start up programmes on the bar at the bottom near the clock to appear, after they have things seem to load ok,but i know i only have a few short things in there, being my avast which i know has to load at start up. Any ideas?

Thanks again for all your help on this i appreciate it

* Download GMER from here:
http://www.gmer.net/gmer.zip

Unzip it and start GMER.exe
Click the rootkit-tab and click scan.

Once done, click the Copy button.
This will copy the results to clipboard.
Paste the results in your next reply.

If you're having problems with running GMER.exe, try it in safe mode.
This tools works in safe mode.. other rootkitrevealers don't.

At this point I do not think this is a malware issue. The only thing I can tell you to try is clean up all your temp files and maybe run a defrag and see if thats makes it run any better. I wish I could help but I do not think there is anymore more I can do when it comes to trying malware here.

Now that your clean:

Disable and Enable System Restore. - If you are using Windows ME or XP then you should disable and reenable system restore to make sure there are no infected files found in a restore point.

You can find instructions on how to enable and reenable system restore here:

Managing Windows Millenium System Restore

or

Windows XP System Restore Guide

Renable system restore with instructions from tutorial above

Next,

This process will clean out your Temp files and your Temporary Internet Files. Please do both steps:

Step 1:Delete Temp Files
To clean out your temp files, click on Start and then run, and type %temp% and press the ok button.

This should open up the temp directory that your machine uses. Please delete all files that are found there. If you get an error when deleting a file, skip that file and delete all the others. If you had trouble deleting a file, reboot into Safe Mode and follow this step again. You should now be able to delete all the files.

Step 2: Delete Temporary Internet Files
Now I want you to open up Internet Explorer, and click on the Tools menu and then Internet Options. At the General tab, which should be the first tab you are currently on, click on the Delete Files button and put a checkmark in Delete offline content. Then press the OK button. This may take quite a while, so do not be alarmed with how long it takes. When it is done, your Temporary Internet Files will now be deleted.

Finally, and definitely the MOST IMPORTANT step, click on the following tutorial and follow each step listed there:
