I was wondering about whether a donation to either the member who successfully solved my problems, or to the site in general, is expected ? appropriate ? or even possible?  I've looked around the site and seen nothing relevant to the topic so I just thought I should ask. Thanks.

Edit: Moved topic from General Chat to the more appropriate forum.~ Animal

Hello :)

The site in general does not accept donations, we provide help free of charge. Some malware removal team members may have donation links in their signatures, as they are the only group permitted to have them; As such it is solely up to you whether or not you wish to donate money to them, they too provide their time without the expectation of payment. :)

The reward is in the happy user with a clean computer at the end. :)

As has been said Bleeping Computer as a site does not accept donations. We are able to sustain ourselves by ad revenue that is seen by those who are not registered.

I mentioned donations in the past to another who asked.

If the team member has a donation link in their signature you may donate that way. Moderators and Admins do not accept donations. If you insist on donating, consider a donation to one of the developers of the many tools available in our download section. Or you may donate to a favored charity of your choice.
We do however thank you for the kindness and consideration of offering a donation. Thank you for choosing BleepingComputer as your malware and computer help site.
