Hi,

If Gringo_pr helped, your pc is clean now.

To disable the viewing of hidden and protected system files in Windows Vista, 7 / 8 please follow these steps:

Close all programs so that you are at your desktop.

Click on the Start button. This is the small round button with the Windows flag in the lower left corner.

Click on the Control Panel menu option.

When the control panel opens you can either be in Classic View or Control Panel Home view:

If you click on "restore defaults" button in Folder Options > View tab, it will hide all those views for you.

Cheers,
Jo

Adding to what Jo* said...both $RECYCLE.BIN and msdownld.tmp are legitimate folders commonly found in the Windows Operating system.

Msdownld.tmp Folder Remains on the Computer <- this is an older article but that folder is still utilized

How to Enable or Disable System Icons on Taskbar in Windows 7/8

Open avast from it's Desktop shortcut or from Start > All Programs > avast folder.
On the left Menu, click Settings > Appearance and check to see if the option "Show icon avast! System Tray" is selected. If not, select it and press OK.

Sometimes just restarting a computer can restore a sudden lost Internet connection. Other times, the loss may be due to outages and disruptions within your ISP's network or the local tower. If using a satellite even extreme weather can cause a loss ot Internet connection.

What so you mean by acting strange?...be specific.

Are you using ComboFix on your own after Gringo_pr has already cleaned your computer? If so why?

If you didn't use it...no need to worry. I was trying to get some clarifying information.
