What is your Operating System and what were you doing before this started?
How do I get help? Who is helping me?For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear....Become a BleepingComputer fan: Facebook

Is there a virus  causing this?

There are mainly two possibilities which can cause Unmountable Boot Volume BSOD.

1. File system corruption due to improper shutdown.

2. File system corruption due to failing hard drive.

The very first thing i would recommend is to test your hard drive and make sure it is healthy. What is the make and model of your hard drive ? ( Seagate ,Western Digital , Hitachi etc ).
