This malware appeared this morning.  Googled it and came up with the fix posted here by Lawrence Abrams.  Downloaded RemVines.reg to a memory stick and transferred to the infected computer per instructions.  Rebooted the infected machine normally and it went right back to the Windows Antivirus Suite display, not allowing me to access a browser and download Malwarebytes.    What now?  Appreciate any guidance.

Computer is a newly acquired (this week!) refurbished Dell Latitude E6410, running Windows 7.  One of the first programs I loaded was Microsoft Security Essentials, then ran a full scan with no problems indicated, so this infection probably didn't come with the computer.

Hello Zigmeister, when that doesn't work we need to get a deeper look. Please follow this Preparation Guide, do steps 6,7 and 8 and post in a new topic.
Let me know if all went well.

I really appreciate the quick response; however, step 6 in the Prep Guide requires me to download and run DDS.  Problem remains that I can't get past the virus to a browser, so I'm stymied as to how to download and run the file.  Do I need to post this info in a new topic?

Ok, Then Star a new topic there with the above info and state "I can't get past the virus to a browser to run DDS :. Then you will be OK there.
