Below is my hijackthis logfile. I recon its the O17 one, but after deleting it comes back at next PC start up. I run MW XP SP2. Please help!
Greetings
Kai

Hello,

First of all, you didn't unzip/extract hijackthis.. and it's still in the tempfolder.
So I strongly advise to unzip/extract hijackthis.zip.
Read here how to unzip/extract properly:
http://metallica.geekstogo.com/xpcompressedexplanation.html
Create a permanent folder and move hijackthis.exe into it. The reason is because hijackthis creates backups and when it's in your temp-folder it can be accidentally deleted.
How do you make a permanent folder:

Click My Computer, then C:\ and then on Program Files.
In the menu bar, File->New->Folder.
That will create a folder named New Folder, which you can rename to "HJT" or "HijackThis".
Now you have C:\Program Files\HijackThis. Put your HijackThis.exe there.

* Start HijackThis, close all open windows leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following:

R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {3F60F433-8638-012E-4913-77DA4A3C9E03} - atl_helper.dll (file missing)
O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {08BEC6AA-49FC-4379-3587-4B21E286C19E} - (no file)
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [InpriseMon] cmon14.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [backd] msag.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [XTermInit] lpt.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [UserSp1] 34763.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [prcmon] jopplerg.exe
O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{10A5D0F3-F030-43E1-B2AA-4FBE27AC42BA}: NameServer = 85.255.116.167 85.255.112.168
O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{10B4A182-FD7F-49A1-94AD-1A2217AB76D5}: NameServer = 85.255.116.167,85.255.112.168
O17 - HKLM\System\CS1\Services\Tcpip\..\{10A5D0F3-F030-43E1-B2AA-4FBE27AC42BA}: NameServer = 85.255.116.167 85.255.112.168

Next is from Bitdefender, but I guess bitdefender is not installed anymore,
? so also check next entry:

O20 - AppInit_DLLs: sockspy.dll sockspy.dll

* Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.
Make sure your Internet Explorer is closed when you click Fix Checked!

Please download FixWareout from one of these sites:
http://downloads.subratam.org/Fixwareout.exe
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/lonny/Fixwareout.exe

Save it to your desktop and run it. Click Next, then Install, make sure "Run fixit" is checked and click Finish.
The fix will begin; follow the prompts. If your firewall gives an alert, (because this tool will download an additional file from the internet), please don't let your firewall block it, but allow it instead.
Then you will be asked to reboot your computer; please do so. Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal.

Once the desktop loads please post the text that will open (report.txt) and a new Hijackthis log.

Hello miekiemoes!
thanks for the reply. I put the Hijack program in a proper folder now and did all as suggested. The resulting log files are now:

Yes, looking better... clean log here. (I do understand german but can't write it  )

Delete next files manually:

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CSOOH.EXE
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DMPVR.EXE
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DMWMM.EXE

Let me know in your next reply how things are now.

By the way, I see you have Kaspersky Antivirus and Antihacker installed. Well, Kaspersky Internet Security 6 is released recently:
http://www.kaspersky.com/kis6?chapter=185166750
This one contains firewall+antivirus and much more options and also runs a lot faster than KAV 5.0
The product key you have now (kav 5.0+antihacker) works for Kaspersky Internet Security as well. :flowers:
Look here: http://www.kaspersky.com/upgrade

Ok, perform next...

Before doing this write down all the settings, Note that not all system/setups even have these settings, While some connection service's will require them.

In the windows control panel. If you are using Windows XP's Category View, select the Network and Internet Connections category otherwise double click on Network Connections. Then right click on your default connection, usually local area connection for cable and dsl, and left click on properties. Double-click on the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) item and select the radio dial that says Obtain DNS servers automatically. Look if next are listed there and remove them: 85.255.116.167 and 85.255.112.168
Don't remove anything else!

Press OK twice to get out of the properties screen and reboot if it asks.
That option might not be avaiable one some systems
(These instruction's are basicly for home users.)
