Hi

Below is the HFT log. Have tried manually removing the windrv.exe registry entries and then deleting the driverload file. McAffee Stinger, Avast Home Edition, Aluria Spyware Eliminator and CWShredder do not detect any problems or virus.

I am also infected with the WMF-Exploit virus which is detected by avast and supposedly removed but just keeps recurring. Files assocaitd with this are ms-?.exe files (eg. ms-8, ms-9, ms-A).

Either of these viruses seem to cause porno to come up on screen as well as slowing down machine to an unuseable level.

When I boot up now, I use task manager to kill all instances of windrv.exe (10 instances start at boot-up) and then PC seems to run ok.

Any help appreciated. Many thanks.
Sally

Hi and welcome to Bleeping Computer! My name is Sam and I will be helping you.

Before we can get started on fixing your problem you must change the location of Hijackthis. It should not run from a temp directory.
  • Download and run the HijackThis autoinstall program
  • Please choose the default location of C:\Program Files as the destination.
  • Run the program only from that location from now on. It is essential that you follow these steps or certain important features of the program will not function correctly.
Once you have Hijackthis running from this folder, please reboot and post a new hijackthis log as a reply in this thread.
