My PC overheats alot and my CPU is alot slower than it used to be. I used to be able to play games on steam without any lag but now I can't play games without lag.

By lag I mean like 3-5 FPS. It used to be atleast over 25 FPS.

I also deleted some of my programs that I didn't need and cleared up more space on my computer but it's still running pretty slow in games.

Did you cleaned out your computer from dust bunnies including the fans and ventilation? Please post the computer model next time and run Speccy.

Try downloading Speccy and then install the program.  To post and publish a snapshot of your PC.
. In the Menu bar, click File -> Publish Snapshot
. Click Yes > then Copy to Clipboard
. On your next reply, right-click on a empty space and click Paste on reply box then click Post.

You can also tell us about the exact models of case and power supply you have.It can`t be seen by a software.Number of coolers?A screenshot from the taskmanager is good direction to see what causes your computer being slower than before.

AMD Athlon II P360 Dual-Core Processor 2.30 GHz

4 GB RAM

64 bit

Windows 7

I know the processor and 4GB RAM isn't the best but I was able to run games without lag.

For games is important the videocard which in your case is too weak.

Can the video cards be good at first and then get weaker? Because I used to be able to play with no lag.

It depends on what kind of videogames you play.Notebooks/Laptops/ are not designed and built for games.
