My computer is finding viruses in downloads where none exist.  I'm continually getting the following message:

"Required services not running:

Base Filtering Engine
IPsec Policy Agent
IKE and AuthIP IPsec Keyring Modules

Please verify that these windows Services have not been disabled and are running."

This happens with either Norton 360 or Webroot.  I even turned control over to a Symantec tech but to no avail.

I've attached a report from Hijackthis.

Any assistance would be most appreciated.

You should only run one antivirus.  Running two can produce false positive and make your computer unstable.

Please download and install Speccy to provide us with information about your computer.  When  FileHippo opens, click on Download latest version in the upper right pane.

When Speccy opens you will see a screen similar to the one below.

Click on File which is outlined in red in the screen above, and then click on Publish Snapshot.

The following screen will appear, click on Yes.

The following screen will appear, click on Copy to Clipboard.

In your next post right click inside the Reply to Topic box, then click on Paste.  This will load a link to the Speccy log.

Please download MiniToolBox  , save it to your desktop and run it.

 Checkmark the following checkboxes:

• List last 10 Event Viewer log
• List Installed Programs
• List Users, Partitions and Memory size.
• List Minidump Files

Click on Go to start the scan.  Once it is finished highlight the text, copy it and paste it in your next post.

Double click on the download and choose to run the program.

A screen similar to the one below will open, click any key to run the program.

When the scan is finished there will be a log, copy and then paste your log in your next post.

Thanks so much for your quick response and my apologies for missing the notice indicating I should have posted in a different forum.  My first time on this cite (surely not my last).  I wasn't running two virus programs simultaneously but meant to indicate I tried one and then the other.

You have posted in the correct forum, at least so far.  If it is determined that you have an infection this topic will be moved to a more appropriate forum.

Hamluis removed the link to the HJT attachment as it is not allowed in this forum.  If this does get moved to one of the Security forums you may be requested to post the log for the HJT.

Please post the requested information in my previous post.
